Last night at the committee meeting a new Ythan kit was chosen. Andy Duncan has been sweating over a hot computer trying to photoshop designs together and the committee decided by vote which design (or combinations of designs was best).
Over the last few years we have been increasingly frustrated with the varying quality, price increases and variations in sizing from our current supplier – Impsport.
It was decided to try a new supplier and Champion Systems were chosen to trial last years “alternative kit”. This trial was successful as the quality was good and sizing was found to be spot on with the measurements on their website.
So for 2012 a new kit has been designed and orders will be taken shortly so that an order can be placed with Champion Systems in mid January. This should ensure that the new kit will be here in time for the new season races.
The new kit is similar to the existing kit (blue with black front and rear panels) and is not a radical change from what we have at the moment. This will mean that existing kit can be used for races next season. The new kit will also have the 25 year anniversary logo on it.
Proof images of the new kit along with pricing, order deadlines and details of how to order will appear shortly. Note the ordering system means we will not be able to order single items or change the order once it has been sent. This means it is vital you meet the deadlines set for ordering.
If you are considering buying Ythan kit in the near future we suggest that you refrain from ordering from Impsport.
If you are concerned about sizing for the kit there are a number of members who have the alternative kit from Champion systems and so you can ask to try on a jersey before you buy.
